I seldom write flash fiction, but that’s what ‘A Snail Tale’ is. I wrote it on a whim, longhand, to amuse my children during a dull night out. When I say ‘longhand’, I mean in the little owl notepad my son brought along. If I recall, it was his request that I write a story about a snail.
I didn’t expect to finish it, but as my daughter read out each new section I sort of fell in love with the story. I hope you did, too… all 391 words of it.
