Crystal Lake Publishing has unveiled the cover art for my upcoming novel, Demon Drink. The artist, Joanna Halerz, came up with a striking image to reflect the sense of horror and desperation that pervades the book, as well as its themes of emotional isolation and addiction.
So what’s Demon Drink about? I can’t reveal too much at this point, but Crystal Lake has offered up this enticing teaser:
“The Ironstone Hotel is a country pub on the verge of bankruptcy and owner, Shirley Goodsall, is desperate. When a businessman from a local microbrewery offers free beer in exchange for promoting it to hotel patrons, it’s a deal that seems too good to be true…”
And believe me, it is – leading to some disturbing and gut-churning scenes for the quiet country town the Ironstone calls home.
